Defying Decoherence

Site-specific performance, 2018

An illusion, an arrow, a flowing river, the expansion of the universe, biological processes of memory, the increasing entropy in the world, a causal structure, a cycle repeating itself, a sea to move through like a sailing ship, or a part of the larger fabric of the universe. What if we are not located at a single time, but exist in a temporally scattered condition, spread out in time the same way we are spread out in space?

A site-specific performance exploring time and repetition. Eight people wearing masks depicting my face all simultaneously perform mundane household chores, such as cooking, washing the dishes, hanging the laundry, having breakfast, using the toilet, taking a shower etc.
