I’M SO HOT
Immersive experience in three parts (2020)
The year 2020 was forecasted to be the hottest year in history. Which beings flourish, and which fail, when natural and cultural worlds intermingle and collide? This is a story about change, about life above and underwater, about news becoming background noise, and about our shared history with the sea.

This site-specific piece in three parts was presented at a spa boat in the harbour of Tromsø, where the audience was invited to a 90 minute hydrotherapy experience including a sauna, a hot tub and a steam room, the bodily experiences accompanied by sound works.

COMMOTION (2020)
field recordings of heat pumps, woodfired sauna

BODIES OF WATER (2020) (20 min 8 s)
sound recording/text, glass sculptures, sea water hot tub

THE SEA IS COMING (2020) (19 min 57 s)
sound samples of tourists reacting to calving glaciers, ice blocks, turkish hamam steam bath

The project was developed in collaboration with Louisa Palmi Danielsson. Photos by Kristine Rød.
